Old growth douglas fir slab FIR-053 salvaged from Exploratorium

Salvaged, old growth douglas fir slab measuring 25-25" wide x 90" long x 1-1/4”" thick. This slab was milled from an exhibition called "Big Wood" on display at the Exploratorium museum at Pier 15.

This slab was kiln dried in a vacuum kiln and flattened on a CNC machine.  It has several voids and cracks as pictured.
